What is Microsoft TechDays?

Microsoft TechDays is both a deep-dive, technical event and a conference where you can explore the strategic overview of the ever-changing technical landscape. TechDays offers technology innovation sessions and provides leadership insights for both your business and personal digitalization needs.

TechDays 2018 is a two-day conference plus a pre-conference day for IT Influencers and Implementers, Developers, Data Professionals and IT Decision Makers, allowing them to be inspired, to expand and deepen their knowledge in Microsoft’s products and solutions. A place to meet new friends and business partners.

New target audiences this year includes roles i.e. Data Scientists and Enterprise Architects. We especially welcome women both as attendees and speakers. We are proud that 38% of the speakers and 50% of the keynotes where held by women at TechDays 2017.

The Future Computed. Artificial Intelligence, Mixed Reality and Quantum Computing

The future of technology lies with the arrival and implications of the most exciting and disruptive wave of technology humankind has experienced: artificial intelligence, mixed reality, and quantum computing.

At Microsoft we’re working to democratize AI in a manner that’s like how we made the PC available to everyone. This means we’re creating tools to make it easy for every developer, business and government to build AI-based solutions and accelerate the benefit to society.

Mixed reality is the result of blending the physical world with the digital world. It is the next evolution in human, computer, and environment interaction and unlocks possibilities never imagined before.

Quantum computing takes a giant leap forward from today’s technology that will forever alter our economic, industrial, academic, and societal landscape. In just hours or days, a quantum computer can solve complex problems that would otherwise take billions of years for today’s computers to solve.

The theme for TechDays 2018 is “The Future Computed: Artificial Intelligence, Mixed Reality and Quantum Computing”, inspired by the book* by Harry Schum and Brad Smith.

*) The Future Computed: Artificial Intelligence and its role in society is a book by Brad Smith, President and Chief Legal Officer, and Harry Shum, Executive Vice President of Microsoft AI and Research Group came out in January 2018.
